Wilma Daly Austin of Athens, Alabama passed away at Limestone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 99 years of age.She was born in Giles County, Tennessee on January 21, 1927, to William and Louella Daly. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and 12 siblings: Virginia College, John Daly, Billy Daly, Sue Aycock, Joe Daly, Anita Daly, Jane Powers, Martha Daly, Betty Willis, Peggy Ghee, Jerry Daly, and Jerome Daly.
Wilma was a member of 1st Methodist Church and the VFW. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and cooking.
The visitation is Tuesday, November 10th, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 1:50 pm.
There will be a graveside service with Darren McNutt officiating immediately following the visitation at 2:00 pm at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
The pallbearers will be Lance Pitts, Chuck Clark, Charles Pruitt, Kristy Clark, Joel Downs, and Mitch Shelly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital on her behalf in her name.
