Elaine Hobbs Claunch, 95, of Ardmore, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2026, in Elkmont, Alabama.
She was born on Monday, January 12, 1931, to Henry Hobbs and Lorene Hobbs in Delrose, Tennessee.
Elaine is proceeded in death by her husband Howard Claunch after 44 years of marriage, one daughter; Goldy Edmondson, both her parents, two sisters: Ruby Brown Berther Cluxton, two brothers: James Hobbs and Wayne Hobbs.
She is survived by one daughter; Victoria Rouse, six grandchildren: Alisha Vaughn, Michelle Blankenship, Shawn Edmondson, Amber Rouse, Jason McConnell, Erica West, eleven great grandchildren, one brother; Joe Hobbs, three sisters: Libby Torrence, Ivene Sweeney, Patricia Hargrove, several nieces and nephews, and an endless number of friends to whom she loved dearly.
A visitation service will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Sunday, October 18, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm. A chapel service on Monday, October 19, 2026 beginning at 12:00 (Noon) with Bro. Steve Hargove officiating. She will be laid to rest at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
