Funeral service for Zaida Maria Roberson, 88, will be Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Hope North Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Roberson died on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at her residence. She was born May 18, 1938, in the Republic of Panama, to Augusto Cowen and Clemetina C. Torres.
Zaida was married to the love of her life, partner in crime, and soulmate, Grady Lee Roberson on November 20, 1959. As an Army wife, she prepared for numerous moves, and never complained. Zaida loved her life as an Army wife. She was a proud mother of Belkis, Carol, Kevin and Kathy. She was a homemaker for her family, whom she loved dearly. One of the proudest moments of her life was when she gained the title of Grandmother to ; Teresa, Contessa, Nadina, Alexis, Hannah, Hunter, and Hayden and Great Grandmother to; Gavin, Owen, Kayla and Alfarinn.
