William Foster Moore, age 79, of Dora, Alabama, passed away on October 13, 2026. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Moore, as well as his sons Scott (Cassandra) and Stephen. He was also a proud grandfather to Claire, Anabelle, and Serenity, and is survived by his sisters, Charlene Harbin and Pat Cates.
William was a dedicated member and deacon of Pisgah Baptist Church and had a deep love for gardening and spending time with his family. He proudly served as a Marine in Vietnam and later retired from Bevill State. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Talmage and Nella Dean Moore, and his brother, Roger Moore.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pisgah Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, burial to follow at the adjoining cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to join in celebrating William’s life and the many wonderful memories he leaves behind.
