Logo Icon Mr. Arthur Brown Dicus was born on September 09, 1950, to the union of his parents the late Mr. Eldred Dicus and Mrs. Goldie Pulley Kelley. He spent his childhood in the Wayne and Perry County areas graduating highschool with the class of 1969. After which he would bravely serve his country by joining the United States Air Force as a courier, serving a tour in Vietnam. During his vocational years he worked as a truck driver “over the road” and enjoyed meeting all the people he would encounter during his journeys. If you knew him you were blessed as he never met a stranger. He possessed a talent for striking up a conversation with complete strangers. He was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. Deeply devoted to family through fate and friends he would meet and marry his wife in 1982 Cathy O’Dell Dicus and together they would raise their children with the same values instilled in them. He loved his family and cherished the precious moments spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. to know him was to love him as he made all welcome in his life cherishing the relationships he had with his siblings, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends to him all were sacred. Though he came from simple roots he learned the value of hard work from an early age, a value he carried with him throughout his life.  Selfless in nature, he only wanted to care for all the needs and happiness of his family and a 57 Chevy Bel Aire. He will be remembered as a kind spirit rarely exhibiting an angry or unkind word toward anyone with a healthy sense of humor always willing to share one of his “bad jokes”. The world will not be the same without him though his suffering has ended his eternal peace in heaven has just begun. Mr. Athur Brown Dicus passed from this life at his home in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 76 years.
