Jo Ann Bearden, 83 of Arab passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville. She was born June 24, 1943 in Dekalb County to Alvis Earl Bates and Bessie Belle Yarbrough Bates.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years: Glenn Bearden; daughter: Teresa Tedder (Mike); son: Donnie Bearden (Melanie); grandchildren: Connie Collier, Brandy Larkins (Matt) and Justin Bearden (Andrea); eight great grandchildren; sister: Rosa Bates; brothers: L.V. Bates and James Bates; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Michael Hardin officiating. The burial will be in Brashier’s Chapel Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Justin Bearden, Matt Larkins, Jordan Collier, Nick Carter, Waylon Ellis, Dylan Bolding, Ethan Dellacasa and Reese Dellacasa.
