Bob Ragland.jpgTracy Ragland, 64, was born on January 8, 1962, in Florence, Alabama, to the late Otis Earline Ragland and the late Fred Edwards.

On Sunday, October 25, 2026, our beloved Tracy peacefully closed his eyes and was called home by God to rest. For a Christian, death is not the end, but a transition from this world into eternal life.

Tracy graduated from Central High School in 1979. During his high school years, he participated in football, basketball, and baseball, with football being his favorite sport.

He worked at L.P. Brown Company in Florence, Alabama, from 1983 to 2023, dedicating 40 years of service. Tracy loved football, traveling, and playing the lottery, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family and friends. He cherished the special moments he shared with those he loved, leaving behind memories that will forever remain in their hearts.

At an early age, Tracy confessed his faith in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior at Rock Primitive Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama. His faith was an important part of his life, and he now rests in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father.

Tracy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Delphia Ragland; mother, Otis Ragland; aunts, Josephine Anderson, Helen Wilson, and Clara Ragland; brother, William Anderson “Houndog;” and beloved mother-in-law, Alma James.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his devoted and loving wife, BeLinda James-Ragland; dear daughter, Stacy Ragland-Hargrove; son-in-law, Dvorak Hargrove; and two special grandsons, Kaden and Kannon. He also leaves his two special sisters, Jean Jones and Anita Bates; special nephew, Dewon Jones; brother-in-law, Leonard James III (Mattie); sisters-in-law, Vicki James and Caryl Gill (James); godmother, Lillie Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Tracy’s life was a blessing, and his memory will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer physically present, the love he shared, the memories he created, and the impact he made on the lives of others will live on. His family finds comfort in knowing that he has answered God’s call and is now resting peacefully in eternal glory.

Tracy, you will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
