Lewis Benton Turner Jr. age 65, passed away on August 26th, 2026. He was born on August 23rd, 1961, to the late Lewis Benton Turner Sr. and Annette Holly Turner.
Lewis was a devoted family man who loved his family deeply. He was a wonderful husband, father, and Pop Pop, and he considered his coworkers and the people he protected to be part of his extended family.
Lewis was married to his loving wife, Beverly Johns Turner, for 41 years. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughter, Monica Wozny (Paul); son, Michael Turner; bonus daughter, Linda Martin (Jason); grandchildren, Dakota Benton Turner, Maggie Nash, and Dailia Carwhile; sister, Sarah Ivey; and brother, Tracy Turner (Rebecca). He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Lewis took great pride in his work. He enjoyed his years working as a security guard at Redstone Federal Credit Union being employed by RISE Security Services. He cared deeply about the people he worked with and those he was entrusted to protect. Earlier in his career, he spent many years working for Taco Bell as a district manager.
Outside of work, Lewis treasured time with his family and enjoyed being a longtime Alabama fan. His greatest joy, however, was the people he loved. His kindness, dedication, humor, and love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Benton Turner Sr. and Annette Holly Turner, and his sister, Teresa Turner.
A memorial service for Lewis Benton Turner Jr. will be held Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Brent Hawkins will officiate.
Lewis will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, family, coworkers, and friends.
