Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, from 12 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. George Barrera, Rex Watson and Casey Woods will officiate. Private burial at Walker Memory Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Reese Alan Davis; parents, Oscar and Gertrude Woods and Millard and Esther Griffith; brothers, Glenn Woods, Larry Woods, Roy Woods; sister, Marie Vintson; in-laws, Hollis and Nona Mae Brown and sister-in-law, Jimmie Robbins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becke Woods; daughters, Heidi Davis (Mark) and Hollie Woods; granddaughters, Sophie Davis, Jayla Black, Alexis Davis, Anna Cate Amerson, Callie Woods and Mayzie Phillips, great grandchildren, Cainan, River, Baylor and Hartley; brother, Hubby Woods; sisters, Debra Sanford (Kirk), Susie Hill (Roger), Mildred Wade and Sybil Thompson and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Walker Area Community Foundation or Walt Williams Golden Deeds.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Martin, Robert Maulden, Jeff Williams.
Pallbearers will be Sophie Davis, Jayla Black, Alexis Davis, Anna Cate Amerson, Callie Woods, Mayzie Phillips, Bailey Tidwell and Maddie Tidwell.
