Nella Ruth Rutherford, 90, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Tishomingo, MS, to Woodrow W. and Princie Mae Carr Morgan. Nella worked as a beautician for many years, and she was a member of Iuka Church of Christ. She loved working outside in her flower beds, reading, and thrift shopping, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Allsboro Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS, will be in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie S. White; one granddaughter, Jesse White; one grandson, Charles A. White; two great-grandsons, Gabriel Curry and Jonas Williams; one sister, Brenda Middleton; one sister-in-law, Jane Waldrep; two nieces, Candace Barry (Shannon) and Anita Whitaker (Jeff); three nephews, Craig Middleton (Jacquline), Keith Middleton (Chasity) and Lyn Waldrep (Vickie); and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Rutherford and her parents.
