Paula Peters McCormack, 87, of Leighton, AL passed away on August 9, 2026. She requested no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 2 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel, followed by a graveside service in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Service will be conducted by Bro. Mike Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bill McCormack; daughters, Susan McCormack and Mary Ann McCormack; parents, Ralph and Jessie Peter. She leaves her son’s, William David McCormack and Kevin McCormack (Diane); granddaughters, Amanda Alexander (Zac), Katie McCormack (Brandon), Kasey McCormack (Kadence), and Britany Green (Heath); grandsons, Jacob McCormack (Maggie) and Levi McCormack (Emily); sister, Mary Virginia Nelson (Ray); nephews, John Nelson (Teresa), James Nelson (Kelly), and Chris Nelson; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of Hook Street Baptist Church. She was a Christian lady who tried to live her life honoring the Lord and her family who she loved dearly and always tried to be there for. Family would like to thank CenterWell Home Health, Aveanna Hospice, and the staff at North Alabama Medical Center.
