Jack Douglas Owens, 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 8, 2026. He was born April 30, 1943, to the late Thomas Homer Owens and the late Ollie Mae Green Owens in Fulton. He worked as an assistant manager at McDonalds for 18 years until 1979 and then retired from Wonder-Hostess Bakery in 2002 after 23 years of dedicated service. He took great pride in his work and in the many friendships he made throughout the years. Jack enjoyed traveling, visiting with his friends, and, most of all, spending time with his family. He cherished the time spent making memories with those he loved.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday August 11, 2026, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Jarrell officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday August 11th at Senter Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynne Huddleston Owens; and many nieces and nephews, that he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Owens and Ollie Mae Owens; brother, Eddie Owens; and seven sisters, Dorothy Jamerson, Reba Hankins, Ruby Sturdivant, Mary Joyce Busby, Jean Bates, Hilma Sue Dulaney, and Judy Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Joe Milam, Marty Johnson, Tim Lewis, Jeff Hill, Steve Brimm, and Jimmy Brimm.
