Roy Gilbert Stark, Jr., age 70, of Greenbrier, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday, August 12th in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Bob Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery with Joe Ellis, Larry Simmons, Wayne Moorefield, Barry Fulton, Chris Adcock and Ken Adams serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Tuesday and again from 12-2pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Stark was born June 1, 1956, in Springfield, to the late Roy Gilbert Stark, Sr. and Rachel Gregory Stark. He traveled the country, hauling steel as a commercial truck driver, most of his life.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Stark was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mike Stephens.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Allen Stark and Michael Stark; 3 grandchildren; brother, Kempf Stark; sister, Dawn Stephens; and a loving aunt, Jean Wilhelm.
