Logo IconRoger Dale Butler was born April 20, 1954 in Florence, AL to the late Arnett and Veda Lancaster Butler. Mr. Butler enjoyed spending as much time as he could in the outdoors, often spending time sitting on the river bank or squirrel hunting. He honorably served his country in the United States National Guard for 23 years, serving 2 years of active duty.He was united in marriage to Marsha Ann Farris Butler. The two would remain married until her passing on February 7, 2025. Mr. Butler departed this life on Monday, August 10, 2026 in Waynesboro, TN making his stay in this life some 72 years, 3 months and 21 days.

Survivors include his daughter, Ginda Butler (Alfred “Buck” Coffman); son, Bryan Butler (Andrea) both of Waynesboro, TN; one sister, Glenda Crews (Ted) of Muscle Shoals, AL; seven grandchildren, Colby Butler, Christian Inman (Brianna), Tae Inman (Isaac Roland), Caroline Reeves, Korabella Coffman, Oliver Coffman, Chandler Butler, one great grandchild, Archer Inman. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Catherine Farris of Waynesboro, TN as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Lillie Mae Dixon Butler; wife, Marsha Butler; one son, Harold Keith Butler; one daughter, Kathy Butler; one grandson, William Butler and two brothers, Charles Butler, Paul David Butler.

In keeping with Mr. Roger’s wishes, there will be no public services held
