James Calvin Robinson, known best to all as “Bo”, departed this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at his residence in Ripley, Mississippi.
Bo preferred a quiet life, so in keeping with his wishes, he will be laid to rest privately beside his beloved son, Gabriel, in Tippah Memorial Gardens.
Born on September 23, 1959, in Newton County, Mississippi, Bo was the son of the late Roy Emerson and Vadine Reed Robinson. He began his education at Walnut High School before transferring to Falkner High School, where he graduated. Throughout his working years, he wore many hats, spending time at Piper, driving a truck, and later working as a self-employed computer technician.
Bo found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed working on computers, reading, and the quiet moments that brought him peace.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Teresa Elam (Jeremy); his brothers, Philip Robinson (Diane), Rodney Robinson (Johnnie), and Timmy Robinson (Mary Lee); the mother of his children, Alice Robinson; as well as many friends and former coworkers who knew him throughout the years.
In addition to his parents, Bo was preceded in death by his beloved son, James Gabriel Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Gabriel’s memory.
