Logo Icon Mrs. Annie Louise Young Morris was born on December 5, 1947, in Tuscumbia, Alabama, to the late Mr. William Henry Jones and the late Miss Mary Young. On August 5th, 2026, she peacefully transitioned from this earthly life and entered her eternal home.

Annie accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Sheffield, AL, where she served in multiple capacities until her health declined. Her devotion to God was evident in the way she loved, encouraged, and uplifted everyone around her.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings: Virginia Summerhill, William Young, Edward Young, Sarah Jackson and Lynn Miller.

She leaves to cherish her memory loving husband Willie James Morris Jr.; sister Mary Jean Jackson; brother Percy Jones; son and daughter‑in‑law Willie James Morris III and Myranda Monique Morris; grandchildren Keon Morris‑Brown (Allen), Miesha Swift (Greggmar), and Ja’Mel Morris; two special great‑grandsons Miles Langston Brown and Mahta Orial Swift; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in‑laws, and cousins, and her close friends, Norris Ricks, Rhoda Plain, and Scott Pritchard.

Though her earthly journey has ended, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Annie’s life was a testament to unwavering faith, quiet strength, and the love of God. We rejoice in knowing she is now resting safely in His arms, where there is no pain, no sorrow, and no suffering — only peace everlasting.
