On July 18, 2008, he was united in marriage to Andrea Jennings, who survives.
Calvin worked for Walmart on the ICS team. He enjoyed playing with his granddaughter, going fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea Sweat of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Cody Sweat, Cailee Lewis (Jason), and Ashley Pennington, all of Savannah, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Caegan Sweat and Gracie Lewis.
