  Virgie Mae CurryVirgie Mae Curry, 93, of Prospect, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Elkmont, Alabama.

She was born on July 15, 1932, to the late Alfred Bill Malone and the late Beulah Elizabeth Malone.

Virgie lived in the Prospect area her entire life where she was a member of the Ardmore 7th Day Adventist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, yard work, and working around the farm.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jake “JB” Curry, one infant son, Curtis Ray Curry, one daughter, Carol McConnell, as well as one son-in-law, Tommy McConnell.

Virgie is survived by two sons, Wendell (Eileen) Curry and Ronnie (Kathy) Curry, one daughter, Judy (Scottie) Barnes, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, as well as 15 great great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation held for Mrs. Curry at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A chapel service will be scheduled for the following day, Tuesday, June 16, 2026, again at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, with service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Wendell Curry and Bro. Jeff Drake will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.

Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
