Mr. Randy David Martin passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 69, after a long illness. Randy spent most of his adult life in Montgomery, Alabama, after a childhood traveling in a military family. He moved to Boaz, Alabama to join his mother several years ago. While living here on Sand Mountain, he worked at Goldkist/Pilgrim’s Pride in Boaz, where he made several friends and was thought of highly. He lived a simple life, enjoying fishing, swimming, gardening, playing pool, chess games, and his love of Alabama Crimson Tide Football. He, also, had a love of travel and enjoyed time in spent in Panama City, Florida.
Mr. Martin is proceeded in death by his parents; Jack and Robbie Martin of Boaz and his brother-in-law; John Hitson of Montgomery, Alabama. He leaves behind his siblings; Jimmy Martin (Angela), Ramona Hitson, all of Montgomery, Renèe Martin Prince of Boaz, and David Martin (Leighann) of Rainbow City, Alabama, as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
At this time, family hasn’t planned a formal service, as Mr. Martin chose cremation. At a later date his cremains will be interred at Happy Hill Baptist Church in Sardis. The family wishes to thank the staff at Crossville Health and Rehab for the care and love they showed Randy during his time there.
