  Boyce Wade Profile PhotoMr. Boyce N. Wade, age 91 of Killen, went home to put on his crown of glory on June 8, 2026. Services will be held on Friday, June 12th at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence beginning at 2:00pm with Brett Stewart officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service and will begin at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow the services at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence.

Mr. Wade was a graduate of Collierville High School in Tennessee. Post graduation, he pursued and graduated with his associates degree. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1963 and had advanced training with the military police. He was employed by Ford Motor Company in both Memphis and Sheffield and retired after 32 years of service.

Mr. Wade was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and served faithfully for 60+ years at Weeden Heights. He served as treasurer, secretary, official board chairman, president of the United Methodist Men, and finance chairperson. He also used his talents to sing praises to God as a tenor in the choir.

He was an avid golfer, self-taught guitar player, and loved to play the piano.

Mr. Wade was a loyal Tennessee Volunteers fan and loved the Atlanta Braves, but his greatest love of all was his God and his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Wade; daughters, Connie Wade Murray, Pam Wade, Cindy Wade-Harper (Mike); grandchildren, Keely Hyde, Christy Askew (Will), Elliot Long, Marcy Ingram (Tim), Jordan McCutcheon, and Shelby Brodie; seven great-grandchildren; and multiple beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wilburn and Madeline Fletcher Wade; father-in-law, William Ray Bobbitt and mother-in-law, Lexie Miller Bobbitt; brothers, Bennett, Robert, Thomas Leo, and Roland Wade; sister, Lena Wade Smith; many beloved nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Leona Bobbitt Taylor.

Pallbearers for the service will be Elliot Long, Mike Harper, Chris Bobbitt. Keith Bobbitt, Will Askew, and William Ray Bobbitt Jr. David Comer, Gene Pinder, and Jeff Wright will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Elkins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
