Barry "BC" Dale CurryBarry “BC” Dale Curry, 63, of Prospect, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama. He was born on Thursday, April 25, 1963, to Bob Alton Curry and Rosie Louise Curtis Curry in Ardmore, Tennessee.
BC spent his life embracing the simple joys of the great outdoors. He was known as an avid outdoors man who found peace in the wilderness. Whether he was setting up camp, tending to his garden, or patiently waiting for a bite while fishing, he was always at home in nature.
A true outdoorsman and a master wing-shooter. Barry had an exceptional passion for duck and pheasant hunting. He made many memories of crisp mornings in the field or blind, sharing these adventures with his hunting buddies and his loyal canine companions. When he wasn’t outside, he was applying his steady hands and remarkable patience to woodworking. Above all, BC was a gentleman defined by his boundless compassion. His deepest joy in life came from his family. He loved his wife, children and especially his grandchildren.
BC was preceded in death by his father, Bob Curry, one stepson; Brian Swanner, and one grandson; Michael Swanner.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years; Jean Curry, mother; Rosie Curry Higginbotham, two sons: Michael (Jenny) Swanner, Justin Swanner, one brother; Bobby (Tracy) Curry, two sisters: Janice (Danny) Davis, Tammie (Sonny) Miller, nine grandchildren: Haley (John) Woodard, Nicholas Swanner, Matthew Lewis, Krissi (Phillip) Rogers, Kassidy Swanner, Kelsey Swanner, Kaitlyn Swanner, River and Savannah, three great grandchildren: Chevy Woodard, Annie Woodard, Violet Rogers, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home located in Ardmore, Alabama on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM with a Chapel Service following directly afterwards at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery located in Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Bruce Barber and Bro. Barry Faulk officiating.

Pallbearers: Tim Nave, Houston Vickers, Justin Miller, Tazz Curry, Royce Russell, Jamie Nichols as well as Honorary Pallbearers: Roy Clark, Randy Bishop, Scott Woodfin and Stacey Carter.

Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
