Michael “Fuzzy” Oaks, age 68, of Ethridge, TN passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, owner of Oaks Market and Hardware, and a cattleman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Keller and Bonnie Barton Oaks; and one brother, Larry Keller Oaks.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sam Newton of Ethridge, TN; one sister-in-law, Barbara Witt (Rob) of Indiana; and two brothers-in-law, Mark Newton (Kelly) of Pulaski, TN, and Gary Newton (Rita) of Lawrenceburg, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, May 29, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 30, 2026, with Carlos Casteel officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Summertown, TN.
