Willie Alton Harnage – Obituary

willieWillie Alton Harnage, 81, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 10, 1934, in Georgia to Willie Junior and Effie King Harnage. He worked for Dura-Crates and logged most all his life. He was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Tishomingo. He enjoyed gardening and yard work.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. William H. Burcham and Bro. Joseph Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Hazel Eralean Beam Harnage; four sons, Chester Harnage (Rhonda) of Belmont, Sammy Harnage (Kathy) and David Harnage (Veronica), both of Golden, and Jimmy Harnage of Golden; two daughters, Brenda Waters (Bobby) of New Site and Vickie Brasel (Ricky) of Fulton; one sister, Thelma Griffin of Nashville, GA; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two nieces and a nephew, Sherry Griffin, Mary Welch, and David Griffin, all of Nashville, GA.

He was preceded in death by one son, Winford O’Neal Harnage; one daughter, Linda Harnage West (Tony); one granddaughter, Christina Hawkins; one brother, Ralph Harnage; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Harnage, Jeremy Orrick, Devin Harnage, Camryn Harnage, Patrick Harnage, Brandon Harnage, and Todd Ladewig.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
