William Grant Spradling, 41, formerly of Mantachie, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016, at the UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was born January 13, 1975. He graduated as valedictorian from Mantachie High School in 1993. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science, magna cum laude, from Mississippi State University. He was employed by Boardtown and Tucows Corporation for 20 years where he served in many roles. He was most recently the Director of Inventory and Logistics for the Ting mobile division. He had been a member of Boguefala Baptist Church since 1989. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved the St. Louis Cardinals. Although raised as an Ole Miss fan, he converted to a true maroon and white bulldog after enrolling at Mississippi State. The joy and delight of his life was his wife and children. He loved watching his children in all their endeavors. He was an avid photographer and chef who enjoyed cooking for his friends and family and loved traveling and music.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 22, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Roger Dale Franks and Bro. Royce Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 21 years, Jennifer Spradling, of Starkville; his son, Lake Spradling, and daughters Lane Spradling and Emma Claire Spradling, all of the home; his parents, Jackie and Judy Massey of Mantachie; one brother, Adam Spradling (Marcie) of Mantachie; his grandmothers, Christine Murphy and Ruby Faye Massey, both of Mantachie; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Bill Spradling; and his grandparents, Billy and Ola Vaye Spradling and Ellis Blaylock.
Pallbearers will be Justin Thornton, Matthew Thornton, Johnny Smith, Jason Perry, Todd Crump, Michael Lee, and Chad Franks.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Tucows in Starkville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.

Played fantasy sports with Grant for several years. The guy knew his stuff… definitely was a sports fan. It was a joy knowing him – he will be greatly missed.
