Thomas O’Neal White age 91 of Sardis City, AL passed away on Friday September 11 at Crossville Nursing Home in Crossville, Alabama. Mr. White lived most of his life in Chattanooga, TN. He retired from Tennessee Paper Mill/Rock Tenn after 30 years. Bethlehem Baptist Church in Boaz Alabama.
He will greatly be missed by all that knew him, he had many friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a true man of God. We know when the Lord reached down and took his hand he was in the presence of the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Dean White, grandson Heath Roach, parents Gurley and Nannie Mae White, brothers LaVaughn White, Gene White, sisters Helen White and Carolyn Johnson.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam (Steve) Roach, son Anthony (Melvia) Chitwood of Chattanooga, TN. Grandchildren, Chad (Amanda) Roach, Shawn (Monica) Roach, Joshua (Nicki) Chitwood of Chattanooga. Great grandchildren, Noah Roach, Peighton Love, Dylan Chitwood, Caleigh Roach, Jonah Roach and Rebecca Roach, Alex Chitwood. Great great Grandsons Easton Chitwood and Finley Roach. He is also survived by brothers Lowell White and Wayne White.
Visitation for Mr. White will be at Albertville Memorial Funeral Home, Albertville, AL. on Sunday September 13 @ 2:00 CST until 6:00 CST. The funeral will be Monday September 14 @ 10:00 Bethlehem Baptist Church, Boaz, AL. His brother Wayne White and nephew Patrick White will be officiating. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Graveside service and burial will be held following the funeral at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel 5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN. Pastor Stephen Kellogg will lead a prayer before the burial.
