August 20- September 17, 2021 – Perceptions: Five Contemporary Artists – Tennessee Valley
Museum of Art, 511 N Water St, Tuscumbia. See artwork by five women contemporary artists:
Elaine Augustine, Laurie Maves, Tracie Noles-Ross, Rachel Wakefield, and Shannon Wells.
Their work ranges from elegant to playful to mysterious and includes painting, mixed-media,

August 20, 2021 – LUCERO with special guest The Pine Hill Haints – The Slag, 91 Furnace Rd,
Sheffield. Lucero is an American country-punk rock band based in Memphis and has been

August 21, 2021 – Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors with special guest Langhorne Slim – The
Slag, 91 Furnace Rd, Sheffield. Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors is an Americana act

August 21, 2021 – The Jake Landers Bluegrass Concert – Ritz Theatre, 111 W. Third St,
Sheffield. The 7pm concert will be headlined by Sister Sadie. Concert will also include Iron

Two shows of hilarious storytelling for the whole family with Bil Lepp, host of Man vs. History

September 5, 2021 – Stoney LaRue, Ben Haggard, & Sunny Sweeney – The Slag, 91 Furnace
Rd, Sheffield. Stoney LaRue is an American Texas Country/Red Dirt artist with roots in
Oklahoma. Ben Haggard is Merle’s youngest son and carries on the musical family tradition.
Sunny Sweeney is a country artist with ties to Austin and Nashville. Doors 5 pm, Show 6pm.

September 6, 2021—Shoals Area Labor Day Festival, Spring Park, Tuscumbia. The Shoals
Labor Council’s annual celebration at Spring Park in Tuscumbia begins at 10 am with a
parade along Main Street followed by activities in Spring Park. Sponsored by the Shoals

September 6, 2021— The Coon Dog Labor Day Celebration, 4945 Coondog Cemetery Rd,

September 9-11 and 17 &18, 2021 – Moon Over Buffalo, Ritz Theatre, 111 W Third St, Sheffield.
The Ritz Theatre presents Ken Ludwig’s screwball comedy Moon Over Buffalo, directed by
Michael Green. George and Charlotte Hay are fading stars of the 1950s. Everything that could go wrong does go wrong in this valentine to the stage and the larger-than-life personalities that inhabit the world of the theatre. Contains mild profanity and adult situations.

September 18, 2020 – 28th Annual Trail of Tears, hosted by AL-TN Trail of Tears Corridor
Association, Inc. Ride the official Trail of Tears Route, from Ross’s Landing in Chattanooga,
Tennessee, to the official start in Bridgeport, Alabama. The route follows Hwy 72 westbound
to its final stop in Waterloo. Free 3-day American Indian Festival in Waterloo begins Friday
afternoon. Vendors, food, arts & crafts, and free live entertainment on Friday and Saturday

September 19, 2021 – Shoals Symphony presents Yesterday: A Tribute to the Beatles, Norton
Auditorium on the UNA campus, Florence. The Shoals Symphony Orchestra will start the

chart topping hits of Beatles classics performed with live orchestra for a POPS crossover
