Wanda Gail Yates, 62 of Arab, Alabama, The New Friendship Community, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Crossville Health Care and Rehab Center.
Ms. Yates was born September 7, 1953 in Marshall County Alabama to Edward Coy Black and Iris Maxine Hulsey Black. She was a home maker and lived in the Arab and Summit area most of her life.
She was a member of Union Hill FCM Church.
She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law: Jerry and Susan Black; nieces: Tammy Shedd and Leslie Waldrop; three nephews: Cody Black, Shannon Black and Jamie Black. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Iris Black; two brothers: James Black and Ronnie Black; and a sister Iris Black.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 23, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Shannon Black, officiating. Burial will be in Oleander Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Black, Joshua Black, Steve Shedd, Steve Malone, Alan Malone and Gary Malone.
Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Tuesday August 23, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
