Alfred Earl King – Obituary

fredMr. Alfred Earl King, 77, passed away Sunday August 21, 2016 at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville with his family at his bedside. He was born in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee on May 23, 1939 to Fred M. and Virginia Smartt King who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Johnnie Byers and Anna Bell Odom.

Alfred was a Iron Worker, Carpenter and his last job was with All American Enterprises in Altamont.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Blaylock King; son, Tim King; daughter, Lisa (Wade) Nunley; brothers, F.M. and Harold (Doris) King; sisters, Reba (Charlie) Freeman, Linda Roberts, Hope Cox and Pam (Rex) Stone; grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter, Carson and Allie; a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Altamont Cemetery with Minister Melvin Childers officiating. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM Monday and 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
