W. Blanche Willis, 94 of Muscle Shoals, passed away June 2, 2013.
Visitation will be Thursday June 6, from 1:30-3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services to begin at 3 p.m. in the chapel, burial to follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Thomas Thornton officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clay Willis; and several siblings.
Survivors include son, Don Willis of Muscle Shoals;
daughters, Camilla Johnson (Gene) of Muscle Shoals, Janice Metcalfe (Kenneth) of Tuscumbia, and Gaye Creekmore of Littleville;
grandchildren, John E. Berryman (Linda), James G. Berryman (Stacy), Mary Brice (Tom), Suzanne Wilbanks (Greg) and Jacelyn Nesbitt (Trahe); A host of beloved great grandchildren; and great-great children; and a special great-grandson Tyler Fritzie; brother Zollie McCormack (Jenette); and sister Elizabeth Colston.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Willis was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals, an active member of the Senior Center in Muscle Shoals and was awarded DAR Good Citizenship Award.
The family would like to express their thanks to Huntsville Hospital Staff and Hospice of the Shoals, for the love and care given to our dear Mother, and friend Donald Thomason for always taking care of Mother’s lawn and landscaping.
