Bobby Ray Loflin Bobby Ray Loflin, 85, of Somerville, Alabama passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral Service will be Friday, March 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Oak Park Church of God with Rev. Bobby Newman officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the church. Mr. Loflin will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, Alabama following the service.

Mr. Loflin was born in Alabama on May 12, 1939 to George and Sally Irene McSpadden Loflin. He became a painter by trade. He was a dedicated member of Oak Park Church of God.

Mr. Loflin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His kindness and love will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. Although we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with his loved ones in God’s embrace of eternal peace.

Mr. Loflin was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Coy Ray Loflin; and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Loflin is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Brenda Slaton Loflin; son, Jesse Lynn Loflin (Christy); two daughters, Belinda Loflin and Melisa Loflin; four grandchildren, B.J. Loflin (Caitlin), Colton Loflin, Lee Crowe, and Bridget Crowe; 3 great-grandchildren, Evie Loflin, Falynn Loflin, Luca Loflin; and soon-to-be the fourth great-grandchild, Laikan Sky.

Pallbearers will be Lee Crowe, B.J. Loflin, Colton Loflin, Jamie Crisler, Justin Crisler, Jon Self, Dwayne Self, and Tony Self.

Shelton Funeral Home was honored and entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
