Virginia’s career was one of service to our country, starting off in the Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida where she met her future husband. As was required in that time-period, she exited the Air Force and continued on in Civil Service in various clerical capacities until her retirement from the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in 1990.

Virginia’s passions were doting on her kids, grand and great-grand kids, cruising the high seas with her sisters and family, singing with her amazing voice in the church choir and at karaoke, watching NCAA basketball and especially her Iowa Hawkeyes, playing cards and games with her weekly group, and keeping up on current events.

Virginia’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will cherish her memory forever.
