Vinnie M. Turley Smith, age 88 of Winchester, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2020. A native of Franklin County, she was born on January 16, 1932 to the late Sid and Neeley Turley. Vinnie enjoyed working in her flower beds, but she most cherished having all of her family together for the holidays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Smith and daughter, Patricia Ann Mahaffey Rogers. Vinnie is survived by her loving children, Joann Hoback of Winchester, Brenda (Rex) Farris of Winchester, Myrtle Mahaffey Richards of Winchester, Shirley Jernigan of Winchester, Darlene (Landon) Rogers of Chattanooga, Edward (Donna) Mahaffey of Winchester, Floyd Mahaffey of Winchester, and Charles Mahaffey of Winchester; grandchildren, David Hoback, Betty Hoback, Jason Hoback, Edward “Bubba” (Chasity) Mahaffey, Kayla Mahaffey, Angie (James) Robinson, Rickey Dale Farris, Phillip Farris, Jonathan (April) Mahaffey, Kyle (Terry) Mahaffey, Kacey (Holly) Mahaffey, Kris Majors, Misty Taylor, Tommy Taylor, Amy Gann Shipley, and Timothy Gann, all of Winchester; special granddaughter, Janice Rene Clark Smith of Winchester; and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11 am-1 pm on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Todd Coutta officiating.
