John Russell Whitlock Jr., 81, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025. There will be no funeral services at this time.
John worked nineteen years for Reynolds Metals before surrendering to ministry as a Baptist preacher for close to thirty years. He is preceded in death by his parents John, Sr. and Cassie Whitlock; late wife and mother of his son, Jewel Sockwell Whitlock; wife Nelda Kirkland Whitlock; and daughter, Pam Whitlock.
He is survived by his son, Rusty Whitlock (Regina) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; brother, Teddy Whitlock (Carol) of Athens, Alabama; grandchild, Cody Whitlock (Kristi) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; and great-granddaughter, Ava Whitlock of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
