Verita “Rita” Pennington, age 70, of Tuscumbia, passed away on July 22, 2026. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Tuscumbia. Bro. Ricky Zahnd will officiate the service. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
She is survived by her son, Kyle Pennington (Breana); grandchildren, Kayden Pennington, Kayleigh Pennington; and several nieces & nephews.
Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Mark S. Pennington; parents, Betty & Luther Dalrymple; and brother, Larry Dalrymple.
