Two-Vehicle Accident In Florence Takes The Life Of A Juvenile And Injures Another Person

FLORENCE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident that has taken the life of a 17-year-old and injured another person:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6 p.m. Thursday, February 24, has claimed the life of a juvenile.

 The 17-year-old was fatality injured after attempting to elude law enforcement in a 2001 Ford F-250, which struck a 2020 Nissan Murano in the rear. After the initial impact, the Ford F-250 left the roadway, struck a utility pole before overturning and hitting an embankment along with several trees.  The Murano, driven by Christopher C. White, 53, of Florence, also left the roadway, struck an embankment along with several trees. The youth was pronounced deceased at the scene. White was injured and transported by helicopter to an area hospital for treatment.  

The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 47 near Lauderdale County 320, within the city limits of St. Florian. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
