TUSCUMBIA-“It’s a Dickens Christmas, Y’all” is returning to downtown Tuscumbia on December 9th, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The free downtown festival will have Dickens characters, carolers and brass bands along Main Street throughout the day. Expect “snow”, carriage rides, trolley tours, Victorian dancers, an arts and crafts market tent, petting zoo, food vendors, and themed specials at downtown shops and eateries.
Special events (some with modest admission charges) include: “Scones and Moans”, Breakfast with Santa, Poetry and Music at St. John’s Church, Milk and Cookies with Tiny Tim, Fezziwig Strut Your Mutt Dog Parade, S’mores Firepit, Cookie Decorating, Ornament Making, and a Holiday High Tea in the historic clubhouse at the Tennessee Valley Country Club. Santa will make his annual visit to Tuscumbia during the event. An evening trolley tour will showcase a “Parade” of Holiday Porches.
