The Florence Police Department’s K-9 Units Earn Rectification In Chattanooga USPCA Trials

  FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department’s K-9 units competed in the  United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) Region 22 K9 trials last week in Chattanooga, TN.   All four teams recertified at these event.
Competing in this event were Sgt Sam Garrison (Aero), Officer Bryant Letsinger (Jett), Officer Luke Green (Murph) and Officer Zach Garner (Caine).
This annual certification saw K9 teams from Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia come together to test their proficiency in a wide range of disciplines, to include: obedience, article searches, suspect searches, criminal apprehension and narcotics detection in rooms and vehicles. Officer Green and K-9 Murph won 1st place in article searches.
Their success is a direct reflection of their hard work and effort that goes into training their partners each and every day.
