Suspect Arrested Charged With Resisting Arrest, False Name, Fugitive from Justice

ATHENS-The Athens Police arrested a Fugitive from Justice.  Captain Trevor Harris of the Athens Police Department released a statement with a full list of charges against the suspect:

“Athens Police Department were called to Athens Utilities on Wilkinson Street to locate a suspicious visitor. 

Officer Randy Vickers located the suspect who gave the name Rontavious Love and provided a driver’s license to match.  While investigating the call, the man struck Officer Vickers then tried to flee. 

After a brief foot chase, Officer Vickers caught the suspect and held him until additional officers arrived.  He was taken to Athens Police Department and charged with several crimes including Assault 3rd, Resisting Arrest, Attempt to Elude a Police Officer, and Interfering with Governmental Operations. 

While he was being booked at the police department it was learned that the suspect’s name was Tristian David McMahon.  A new background check revealed Bedford County, Tennessee has a warrant for McMahon for Escape.

  The 25-year-old man from 208 Southwind Drive Apt. 5 was additionally charged with Fugitive from Justice and Obstructing Justice Giving False Information to a Police Officer.  He was placed in the Limestone County Jail.”
