LIMESTONE COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of an Athens man near the town of Tanner in Limestone County:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. Sunday, December 15, has claimed the life of an Athens man.
Tony H. Coffman Jr., 45, was fatally injured when the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer he was driving left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and then struck a tree. Coffman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Friend Road near Garden Lane, approximately ten miles west of Tanner, in Limestone County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
