TUSCUMBIA-This Labor Day, Colbert County will honor the long-standing tradition
with events in Tuscumbia. The Shoals Area Labor Council will host its 106th
annual Labor Day Celebration at Spring Park.ย This is the longest running Labor Day celebration in the state possibly the country.
The Shoals Area Labor Councilโs 106th Labor Day Celebration will take place on Monday,
September 1, 2025, at Spring Park, 1 Spring Park Road, Tuscumbia. The day begins at 10 a.m.
with a parade through downtown Tuscumbia, led by District 18 State Rep. Jamie Kiel as grand
marshal. Festivities will continue in the park from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy live music, fellowship, and prize drawings, including two separate $1,000
giveaways. The seventh annual car show will be featured, with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
and awards presented at 1 p.m. Tickets for the drawing will be on the prizes donated by local businesses will be $1.00.ย The grand prize this year will be a Trailer/Lawnmower package with two more drawings for $1000.ย You do not have to be present to win.
There will be foodย trucks and bicycle giveaways with music by “Back on Track” with a beauty pageant starting at 2:00 p.m.
The 7th Annual Car Show sponsored by the Labor Council will be on the water wheel side of Spring Park.ย Music and stories by Mr. Tony Couch.ย Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.ย Prizes for the show have been donated by area auto parts and detail shops.ย Trophies will be awarded at 1:00 p.m.

๏ท Friend of Labor: Attorney Tom Heflin
๏ท Friend of Labor (posthumous): Tammy McInish, retired Central High School teacher
