SCOTTSBORO-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of one person. The accident happend May 15 2024 with the person dying from their injurues on June 4:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, has claimed the life of a Section woman.
Belinda D. Ryan, 61, was critically injured when the 2007 Acura MDX she was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch, a rock embankment and overturned. Ryan was not using a seat belt at the time of crash.
Ryan was injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. On Wednesday, June 4, Ryan succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased while at the hospital.
The crash occurred on Alabama 35 near Jackson County 67, approximately two miles south of Scottsboro, in Jackson County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
