Sarah I. (Jean) Sumerel, age 81, passed away Sept. 23, 2015. Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with service to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Lime Rock Cemetery. She was of the church of Christ Faith and lifelong resident of Northwest Alabama. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Sumerel was preceded in death by husband, Ray O. Sumerel; parents, Jasper and Frances Colburn; brothers and a sister.
Survivors are children, Debbie Sevier (Frank), Connie Pace and Pam Bray; grandchildren, Melanie Strawbridge (Adam), Sarah McDonald, Dustin Cornelison, Jacob Meherg (Rebekka) and Milton Pace; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
