Sandra Faye Robinson Brewer – Obituary

Mrs. Sandra Faye Robinson Brewer was born May 21, 1948 at Colbert County Hospital (now Helen Keller Hospital) in Sheffield, Alabama. She was the second of five children born to the late William Ester Robinson and Annie Bell Pride Robinson. Sandra went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.

Sandra was educated in the Florence Public School System. She attended Burrell-Slater High School through the 11th grade, and as a senior, graduated with the first racially de-segregated class at Coffee High School in 1966.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Estherlene Hillman (husband James) and Gwendolyn Woods; one brother, Derrick Robinson (wife Gloria), all of Florence, Alabama; two nephews, Aurick Woods (wife Chandra), of Powder Springs, Georgia and Geoffrey Robinson (wife Kymberly), of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; two nieces, Caressa Hillman-Todman (husband Androceto), of Hiram, Georgia and Jazmine Robinson, of Huntsville, Alabama; two great-nephews, Christopher Woods and Cameron Woods, of Powder Springs, Georgia; two great-nieces, Jordan Robinson, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Victoria Wynn McDaniel, of Huntsville, Alabama; one great Aunt, Mollie D. Newsome, of Waterbury, Connecticut; and a special friend, Samuel L. Brewer, of Florence, Alabama.

Visitation with the family will be today, Jan. 3, 2017, 5-7 p.m. at Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Florence, Alabama. Funeral services for Mrs. Brewer will be noon Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 at First Missionary Baptist Church, Sheffield, Alabama with Pastor Jeffrey Braxton, officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Garden, Florence, Alabama. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. The public viewing will be today 9 a.m.-8 p/m.
