FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department held a Memorial Ceremony and Awards Presentation on Friday, May 19 at Memorial Grove (located at the intersection of E. Mobile Street and Royal Ave in downtown Florence).
This ceremony recognizeD the fallen and celebrated those who have excelled in the last year.
The keynote speaker this year is Presiding Lauderdale County Judge Gil Self.

It was said that God had given him an internal microphone. He was an inspiration to others to be the best they could be. He was a loving and caring person who made an impact on everyone he met.
