Ruth Louise Burney, age 75, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Morningside Assisted Living in Springfield.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Gathering of Friends from 1-5pm Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.
Mrs. Burney was born June 12, 1947 in Springfield to the late Douglas Brown and Mona Noreen Pigg Binkley. She was a Computer Technologist with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) for many years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burney was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Burney; brothers, Joe Binkley, Michael Binkley and Ben Binkley; and a sister, Patty Binkley.
She is survived by her son, Jamie (Jessica) Burney; daughter, Katy (Jamie) Barnhart; 3 grandchildren, Cody Burney, Tristin Cox, and Cameron Barnhart; 1 great grandson, Thomas Cox; and a sister, Kathryn Binkley.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
