Russell “Russ” Steven Davis, 60, went home to the Lord after a brief illness surrounded by his family on August 25, 2022. Russ was born on September 14, 1961, to Ben and Jean Davis in Huntsville, AL. He and Angie were married on June 26, 2010. He was a beloved husband, father, and son.
He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Davis, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Angela Davis; daughters, Kenley Davis and Pajia Zipperer; his mother, Emma Jean Davis; his brothers, James “Ben” Davis III (Susan) and J. Christopher Davis (Laura); his nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
Visitation will be at Laughlin Service Funeral home on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Davis, Chris Davis, Wes Davis, Lonnie Wandel, Mike Dunlap, and Mike Hansen. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Davis, Will Davis, and Frank Daily.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Down Syndrome Society.
