Shirley H. Bridges, a “good and faithful servant” of our Heavenly Father and His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, passed gently into her Father’s arms on Thursday, August 18th, 2022.
Shirley was always a kind and loving person who enjoyed serving and helping others no matter the circumstances. She was a wonderful and loving wife who was saved by Grace on October 9th, 2008 and loved serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as her fellow church family. She delighted in reading her Bible yearly and strove to be more Christ-like daily.
Shirley is survived by her husband Jeff Bridges; mother Earlene White; step-brother Mike White of Richmond, VA; sister-in-law Renee White of Richmond, VA; cousins Linda Lowry of Durham, NC, Michael Dance of Danville, VA, Sylvia Handy of Virginia Beach, VA, and Carolyn Dance of Virginia Beach VA; and niece Theresa Morgenson of Gilbert, AZ.
Preceded in death by her step-father Robert C. White.
Funeral services for Shirley will be Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Westmoreland officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Thatch-Mann Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Posey, Larry Chittam, Lee Posey, Cecil Sanders, Charlie Sample, and Wayne Lewis.
Shirley fought the good fight and won the race.
