Robin Elaine Nettles Montgomery, 64, of Starkville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025.
Born on November 17, 1960, in Hialeah, Florida, Robin was the beloved daughter of Jesse and Rachel Nettles. She and her husband, Woody Montgomery, were partners in life and in business, owning and operating a local jewelry store together for over 40 years. Their store is a staple in the community, known as much for its beautiful craftsmanship as for Robin’s warm and welcoming presence.
Robin is survived by her devoted husband, Woody Montgomery; her children, Megan Berry (Russell), Hailey Upton, and Wesley Montgomery; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Berry, James Berry, Hannah Berry, John Berry, Abby Scott Upton, and Collins Upton. She also leaves behind her siblings, Tom Nettles, Doug Nettles, Duane Nettles, and Rana Burt. Robin is proceeded in death by her brother David Nettles and her parents, Rachel and Jesse Nettles.
Robin will be remembered for her deep love of family, strong work ethic, and the joy she brought to others through her kindness and generosity. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, May 16 from 11 am to 1 pm at Welch Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Robin Montgomery’s life will follow in the Welch Funeral Home chapel.
