Robert Larry Hanby, 74 of Jemison, Alabama, formerly the Morgan City area, died Thursday September 1, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Hanby was born December 22, 1941 in Jefferson County, Alabama to Cecil Barnard Hanby and Barbara Inez Townley Hanby. He worked as a contract inspector for U.S. Army Command at Redstone Arsenal.
He was a member of Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Deen Hanby; son and daughter-in-law: Robert Jerome and Sarah Hanby; daughter and son-in-law: Sharon Hanby Williams and Jim Williams; grandchildren: Morgan Williams, Colin Williams, Declan Williams, Kaitlin Hanby, Jonathon Haley, Jeremy Colwick, Courtney Cornell; great grandchildren: Kaiden Cornell, Gabriel Cornell, Jonathon O. Haley, River Haley, Thatcher Haley and Dresden Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents: Cecil and Barbara Hanby.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 3, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with brother: Robby Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery at Lacey’s Spring with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday September 2, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
