Lorene Reeves age 92 of Empire, passed away Thursday September 1, 2016 at her residence. She was a homemaker and was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church in Empire.
Funeral services will be Saturday September 3, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Phillip Starnes will officiate. Burial will follow at New Canaan Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 10:30-12:00 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Johnson; mother, Linnie Motts; husband, Leroy Reeves; sons, Roy and Troy Reeves; granddaughter, Priscilla Darty; son in law, Steve Jett; brothers, Barry and J.D. Johnson and sisters, Della Wilson and Irene Reeves.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Jett, Sharon Harris (Carl), Faye Shelton, Ruby Nell Reeves and Kristie Seal; sons, Robert Reeves, Jimmy Reeves, Donald Ray Reeves (Carol) and Douglas Reeves; a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Drucilla Jett; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Harris, Brian Jett, Dewayne Reeves, Bobby Reeves, Shaun Reeves and Brian Busby.
